CAREER EVENTS

As part of their hiring strategies, many employers want to establish visibility for their organization at SF State and to have the opportunity to talk to students face-to-face. This can be accomplished by participating in a variety of on-campus career events coordinated by the Office of Career Services and Leadership Development in collaboration with colleges, academic departments, and student organizations. SF State offers several large-scale career events. These include: a fall and spring career fair, a part-time job fair and a graduate school fair. For more information in participating in our events, please contact us by emailing for more information, recruit@sfsu.edu.

Fall 2017 - Spring 2017 Recruiting Calendar

Please refer to the academic and recruiting calendar below to help you plan your campus activities for Fall 2017-Spring 2018 recruiting season. Due to our transition to Handshake, our registration for Fall career events have been pushed back. In order to participate in campus recruiting, you must have a Handshake account. Beginning July 1, employers can begin selecting San Francisco State University as a school on Handshake. Questions? Contact recruit@sfsu.edu or call 415-338-1761.

Career Fairs

As part of their hiring strategies, many employers want to establish visibility for their organization at SF State and to have the opportunity to talk to students face-to-face. This can be accomplished by participating in a variety of on-campus career events coordinated by CSLD in collaboration with colleges, academic departments, and student organizations. SF State offers several large-scale career events. These include: a fall and spring career fair, a part-time job fair, and a graduate school fair. These events are only open to SF State students and alumni. For more information in participating in our events, please contact us by emailing for more information, recruit@sfsu.edu.

Outdoor Fairs

CSLD offers two outdoor recruiting events: graduate school fair and part-time job fair. On and off campus entities are invited to recruit. We can currently accommodate approximately 60-65 registrations for outdoor fairs. These events are held rain or shine.

Indoor Fairs

On and off campus employers are invited to recruit students at our indoor recruiting events. Our Fall Career Fair venue accommodates approximately 40-45 employers. Our Spring Career Fair venue accommodates approximately 70-80 employers.

We recommend signing up early since space is limited!

Information about registering for career fairs:

View Articles on how to register for a Career Fair on Handshake. A maximum 2 of representatives may attend the career fair. Please include the names and emails of the recruiters who will be granted access to the venue in your registration. Registration does not confirm participation. An official confirmation will be sent via e-mail with a confirmation packet approximately one month prior to the career fair.  Once registration is confirmed, fees are non-refundable. Any vendor forms needed for check payments must be submitted within 2 weeks approved confirmation.  Registered non-profits must submit their 501(c )(3) tax exemption forms to recruit@sfsu.edu 30 days prior to the event. Payment must be received 20 days prior to the event or confirmations will be canceled. Occupancy of our event spaces are limited. Once the accommodation limit is reached, additional registrations will be placed on a Waiting List.  To ensure the quality of our services and to limit the risk to SF State students, the Office of Career Services and Leadership Development has established several Policies and Guidelines for all recruiting activities sponsored by CSLD. All guests are expected to follow the Code of Conduct. Please email recruit@sfsu.edu if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at our career events. Thank you for your interest in recruiting students at SF State!

Info Sessions and Special Events

CSLD is dedicated to working with employers to create tailored career events that meet your recruitment needs. In building a partnership with CLSD, our staff will work with your organization to coordinate an information session, employer-led workshop, or unique career event to connect you with the students that you are searching for. These events prioritize organizations that are hiring for career-oriented positions or provide a range of opportunities that meet a strong interest of SF State students. Please contact Carol Huang, Employer Relations & Events Coordinator, at recruit@sfsu.edu for more information.
