STUDENT

TESTIMONIAL

  • I first sought out help from the CSLD during my junior year (something that I now regret not doing sooner!) and since then they have aided me in propelling forward my professional and education careers. The most recent example being Orlando, Melanie, Rafael, and Ella's support throughout my graduate school application process. They worked tirelessly finding time between their back-to-back meetings to help me discover the best way to illustrate why I want to pursue my Master's through my Statement of Purpose and Personal History Statement. Thanks to their dedication and commitment to helping the development of students I will be attending UC Berkeley for my Master of Public Health in the Fall!

  • I want to thank you for your help in landing me a spot at the TrailheaDX conference. It was an incredible experience where I met a lot of amazing people, including CEO Marc Benioff. I wouldn't have known how to earn my place there if it wasn't for you, so thank you very much!

  • They say better informed people make better decisions – they are not wrong! When it comes to deciphering your career decisions as a college student can feel so daunting. A boatload of questions surface in your head render you from navigating forward, but it doesn’t have to be this way when you have the right support system. The Career Center here on campus has been an invaluable resource for me, my experience thus far has been nothing short of inspirational. It provided a much-needed discussion space for me to feel at ease with the possibility of where my degree might lead. It is such an underutilized resource here on campus. Not to mention, the faculties (Orlando, Ella) in this space are so incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. They value your feedback, suggestions and truly want to help.

  • I spoke to you earlier at the fellow's program. Over spring break I continued to add to my Handshake profile and finally attach a resume. Within a week of sending my applications to various companies, I heard back from Tesla and Apple. Your statement on people getting back what they put in really does stand. I wasn't too involved in my community college and I definitely knew I wanted to change this and push myself when I transferred to SFSU. So thank you and your team for helping me do just that :)!

  • My updated resume is amazing. Not only that but my interview also went well. I have good news, I got the job! In no time, I will be trained as a registered behavior technician. The career services office was a great resource and I am glad I took advantage of it.

  • I would recommend anyone looking for new opportunities to utilize the resources that the Career Center provides. With their help and services, I found new career path at a company that I love! Thank you for holding the career fair that connected me with a career I could've only imagine existed.
